Visit the Virginia War Memorial in person to view the Mighty Pen exbibit featuring rotating veterans. I'm honored to be part of this display along with dear friends including: Harry Mayer (a navy deep sea diver and bomb disposal technician), Laura Bender (identified by the Marine Corps as the first female chaplain in combat), Dave Aldridge (a Vietnam vet with 3 combat tours in the infantry), and John Price whose son posthumously earned the purple heart after being killed by sniper fire in Iraq.

The War in Pieces 2025 Festival of Plays was a great success!
The Virginia War Memorial Foundation presented four one-act plays written by Virginia veterans. They were produced and performed by Firehouse Theater.
Stay tuned for the script of Shani's play, War's Teeth, to be featured in the upcoming Mighty Pen Project Journal.
War's Teeth: a young mother, home from a deployment in Afghanistan thanks a Vietnam vet for his service, unleashing for them both memory and healing.
